Tropical Smoothie Cafe began on a beach in Destin, Florida, and has grown to be one of the fastest-growing national fast-casual smoothies and food concepts. Known for their better-for-you smoothies and food with a tropical twist, they have over 925+ locations in the U.S. and are still growing.

When we first started working with Tropical Smoothie Cafe, they were ready to grow but needed the right plan to hit their aggressive franchise development goals. The marketing efforts they were doing on their own weren’t creating a viable ROI. That’s where our smarty-pants expertise came in and has continued to drive quality leads and sales. The result was a ranking of 14th in the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 and Top in Category for Smoothies/Juices.

Starting smart, we developed a customized, three-step plan for strategic, effective growth and continue to adjust with new learnings.

Step one: Identified a health-minded target audience niche, beyond the typical demographic and financial requirements.

Step two: Developed an omni-channel marketing and media plan. This built awareness for the franchise opportunity and drove conversions with social, digital, trade-specific tactics and local market events.

Step three: Created and tested a responsive website to capitalize on the growing mobile traffic. Constant A/B-tested site content and navigation improved the user experience and boosted conversions.
